Rip'd Volume 2 Issue 2

Given the renewed controversy and concern surrounding the safety of "the Abortion Pill," RU-486, do you believe that the pill should continue to be distributed? Why or why not?

The pill should completely be given out. Why would it not be?
-Jill Runner, Los Angeles, Ca

Ru-486 is a great alternative to a surgical procedure. If the United States government continues to push to try to limit and eradicate this medical procedure, it should be viewed as just another way in which President Bush and his minions are trying to overturn Roe vs. Wade.
-Caitlin Weir, Beverly Hills, Ca

Ha, of course it needs to be distributed. What is America's problem? France and other European countries have used the pill for years and there have been few problems. Scaring Americans with horror stories of complications which stem from using RU-486 is the Right to Life's sick, pathetic attempt to make abortions sound worse. No one that I have met comments on how great their abortion went. From a scientific standpoint, there is no reason not to have the pill available as an option.
-Edward Giles, San Francisco, Ca

I will not comment on a question that phrases something as abortion pill.
-Gloria Reidson, Palo Alto, Ca

I never really thought about it. I hope that my girlfriend is never in that position. Women should be able to have every reproductive choice available to them, as long as it has been found to be safe. If RU-486 is safe, then use it.
-Mike McDonald, Pleasanton, Ca
